Obituary for Mr. Roger John Pinkowski

Pinkowski

With heavy hearts we announce the unexpected passing of Roger Pinkowski, on Monday, February 12, 2018.
Roger was born in Fort William on September 17, 1940 to Fred and Jessie. Retiring from Great Lakes Paper at
a young age allowed him to pursue his many interests. A talented musician, he entertained many with his voice,
guitar and violin. Roger's passion for teaching was illustrated by his success as a Hunter Education and Fire
Arms Safety instructor for 51 years.
His kindness and compassion was evident in everything he did. If you've had someone make you laugh waiting
in the grocery line or a random act of kindness, there is a good chance it was Roger.
Roger will be lovingly remembered by his long time partner Sherrie Smith, her sons Leonard (Owen),
Douglas (Mandy, Lacey), son Jeff (Shirl-lynn, Darbi) and daughter Jennifer Svane (Aiden, Ellen).
Please join us for a celebration of Roger's life at the Port Arthur Polish Hall, 102 South Court Street,
on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 between 2 p.m.-5 p.m.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 332 North May Street, Thunder Bay.
